A Value Assembly on Courage was presented by the members of Vikram Sarabhai House at Modern Early Years Vasundhara , on Wednesday, 28th August, 2019.

The Assembly began with the news of the day by Avni Manav (P2-C), followed by a short ‘Mime Act’ by P1 & P2 students , depicting the true meaning of being courageous.

Thereafter, few students presented a group song on Courage with the lyrics ‘I am not afraid to try’

A story titled ‘ Brave Hans’ was then enacted by  P2 students portraying the courageous act by a young boy.

The month of August being observed as the birth anniversary of Vikram Sarabhai, Arunabh Pandey (P2-A) spoke a few lines on his inspiring life.

For the talent round Aaradhay Pradhan (P2 B), showcased an awe inspiring performance on drums and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!

The Assembly concluded with the Branch Head talking about being fearless in keeping with the School Motto ‘Perfection cannot be achieved by the weak willed’

Thereafter all present joined in for the inspiring song;s oDr uk Bgjk gS....' , spreading the  message that no matter whatever  obstacles come our way  we must not quit and emerge as winners!

    The Members of Abdul Kalam House celebrated Janmashtami with great vigour on Friday, 23rd August, 2019 at Modern Early Years, Vasundhara.

    The programme started with Ms.Shilpi Lalchandani  welcoming all present. Mridul Jain (P2-A), Avi Bansal (P2-C) and Adhyansh Pachauri (P2-B) narrated why and how we celebrate Janmashtami. This was followed by a melodious bhajan ‘???? ???? ???? ??, ?? ??? ?? ??? ??…..’

    Kaina Agarwal (P2-C) and Diya Singh (P2-A) enacted the  articulately recorded play by Ms Akshama Gaur followed by a sprightly dance on the song ‘??? ????? ??…’ The musical presentation revolved around the life of Lord Krishna depicting various instances of his life:  

     1.    His birth  

     2.   His bonding with Mata Yashoda 

     3.  Why he is referred to as Makhanchor

     4.  Govardhan incident

     5. How he killed his evil uncle Kansa

     6. His role in Mahabharat

     7.  His teachings

     8. His eternal love for Radha ji

    Thereafter The Branch Head, Ms.Manju Mehra followed by  the teachers & the parents  did aarti.

      Language is an integral part of our lives because it helps us communicate with each other. The diversity of human life has led to the development of a multitude of unique languages. But there is one language which is the binding force of the entire world. It has helped people belonging to different nationalities and speaking different languages interacting  efficiently and effectively and that language is English.

      Modern Early Years, Vasundhara conducted an Inter School English language meet, ‘Lit Fun’ -2019 on the 17th of August, 2019 to salute the language that has brought people of the world together.

      The endeavor behind the English Language Meet was to explore the vast storehouse and treasure of literary legacies and unbounded prospects of skill, creativity and articulation that are inherent and associated to the English language.

      The development and use of communication and language is at the heart of young children’s learning.Students today are required to grow up as well rounded confident personalities wherein effective communication and language skills become fundamental for their  learning.To inculcate such an environment we felt it is a must to provide students with a platform to enhance expression and enable creativity of both speech and thought .This has been the desire and motivation behind the inception of the Lit Fun Meet.

      Ms. Roma Jain  –She is a Psychology Honours from IP College , a Parent and Student Counsellor ,is an Author at Viva Books Pvt Ltd –and has to her credit more than 88 books for the Pre-Primary and Primary Levels  , a Story Teller ,she conducts Workshops for teachers as well.


      Ms.Mudit Mohini started the Company Vish Books and is personally involved with Editorial ,Marketing and Sales .She has also started the School version of Champak called Champak Plus.A Globe trotter she has authored more than 100 children books and conceptualized about 1000 books.

      She was recognized by ET Now Leaders of tomorrow Award in the category Woman Entrepreneur of the year.


      v Ms Gita Nath&MsMondiraMoitra for Choral Recitation


      Highly qualified Ms.Gita  Nath has done a Writer’s Programme from Manchester ,UK. .She is an Author and is associated with notable Publishers such as Pegasus and Macmillian.She has worked with Apeejay Education Society and has been the HOD English and Vice Principal & Officiating Principal at the Greater Noida School.

      Ms.Mondira Moitra has taught at prestigious schools such as Sanskriti and Sardar Patel and has to her credit Diplomas in Music and Vocal Music.and has Authored Books - for Pearsons and Harper Collins.




      After the events were over, the participants assembled in the hall for the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The Branch Head Mrs. Manju Mehra welcomed the judges and addressed all present.

      ·  Avni Grewal of Modern Early Years, Vasundhara was awarded a Special Prize for the best Character Portrayal.

      The Overall Trophy was won by Modern Early Years, Vasundhara, for scoring the maximum points- 122 but being the host school, they passed it on to Aspam Scottish School , Noida for securing the Second Position at 104 points.


      It was an organised and a meticulously planned Event !

        Special Assembly - Rakshabandhan 

        Raksha Bandhan is an occasion to celebrate the eternal bond between siblings. It is a day when brothers and sisters come together and celebrate the day with utmost joy and fervor. 

        Keeping this tradition alive, Modern Early Years, Vasundhara, celebrated Raksha Bandhan , on 16th of August 2019. Students of Jagdish Chandra Bose House presented a Special Assembly on the same. 

        The Assembly began with the thought for the day by Avni of  P2-C and thereafter,  Yuvraj Singh Chauhan of P1-B and Khwaish Saraogi of P2-A spoke about the significance and how to celebrate Raksha Bandhan .

        Ms. Mansi Passi reinforced the same with the help of a lively presentation explaining the ‘Bond of Love,Care and Protection’between a brother and a sister.

        Some students came dressed up in traditional attires  and portrayed as brothers and sisters to demonstrate the rituals of Raksha Bandhan by tying a thread of protection on the wrist of their brothers , applying tilak and exchanging  gifts .

        Yash Singhal and Kuhu of P2-B spoke heart rendering lines on ‘A Sister Like You’ and ‘A Brother Like You’. The Assembly concluded with the song ‘Phoolon ka taaron ka ,Sabka kehna hai , Ek hazaaron mein mere behena hai ’which was enjoyed by everyone present .

          With profound privilege, The Modern Early Years Family celebrated the 73rd Independence Day on Saturday 10th August, 2019 for the parents of P1 & P2 and on Wednesday, 14th August, 2019 for the parents of Pre-nursery, Nursery & KG.

          The Chief guest on the occasion(10.8.19) was the veteran actor Abhinav Kant Chaturvedi ,a Modernite - ‘Naney’ of Hum Log Fame .The premises bore a tricolor look with befitting boards.The students smartly lined up for the pledge followed by the National Anthem played by Nivya Sharma (P2-C), as Mr. Chaturvedi unfurled the National Flag. The Special Feature ‘Veeron Ki Gatha’  a tribute to the three forces- Army, Navy and Air, of our country was showcased by 140 students of Classes KG ,P1 & P2. The prayer “Where the mind without fear”  by the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore representing his vision of a new and awakened India presented by Aaradhy Pradhan ( P2-B) and the welcome address by Hardik Ghanshani(P2-A) and Avni Grewal (P2-C) was well delivered .

          The skit  revolved around wars, our soldiers have fought for the country, interspersed with a medley of patriotic songs. The choreography  and the synchronization of the dances coupled with the energy level of the students was truly remarkable . The play was summed up with the inspiring poem ‘ ??? ??? ???? ???! ??? ??? ???? ???!’ recited by Vedant Choudhary (P2-A) and Avi Bansal (P2-C).  


          The Branch Head Ms. Manju Mehra’s addressed the august gathering:

          Probably here there is hardly anyone who woke up on the mid night of 15th August 1947 to hear India’s tryst with destiny. We have been born to the freedom that our forefathers fought and died for.  As she quoted Mahtma Gandhi ‘ Be the change you want to see in the World’ she emphasised that we ought to as a community start with ourselves- our homes, our neighbours, our children, our people and the environment  looking around  for the avenues that give an opportunity to participate in nation building.

           Let’s work together towards a universal spirit of Being Indian : to be proud of our country, understand her strengths and work on her weaknesses, so that that we can all stand proud and happy when we actually walk into India Shining or Achche Din !’

          The costumes were vibrant.Mr. Chaturvedi praised the spectacular show executed in the Modern spirit. Parents were impressed by the enthusiasm and the discipline of the little ones. The performance of the students and teachers was applauded by all present Kudos to the Student – Teacher Team.

            The achievements and successes of the students were celebrated over a Special Function ‘The Investiture Ceremony’ at Modern Early 

            Years, Vasundhara. The Proceedings started with the customary lighting of the lamp accompanied by the hymn ‘All things bright and beautiful-------The good Lord made them all’ sung by the P1 & P2 student choir. 18 students were awarded badges from each of the 4 Houses as the names of the P2 students were announced for the positions of the House Captains, Vice House Captains, Environmentalists, Editorial Board Members and Sports Captains. The responsibilities of the same were enumerated upon by the MC Ms. Anuja as they were presented badges by the Branch Head, respective House Masters & Sports Teacher.

            As all gathered to witness their proud moments Ms. Mehra inspired the students with the words of Theodor Geisel ‘You have brains in head and feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You are on your own and you know, you are the one who will decide where to go’. Congratulating the Office Bearers she said that she hoped that they would lead by example and influence their peers in many ways by Being Respectful, Responsible, Good Learners and of course Fair and Cooperative.

            She added that she had high expectations from the students and had confidence and faith that they would surprise, not just their Teachers and Parents, but also themselves. They would make mistakes, we all did but they should remember to learn from them.

            All repeated the Pledge with tremendous conviction, grit and determination

            I do hereby solemnly pledge that I will serve my fellow students and school sincerely and truthfully. I will follow the virtuous path of excellence and perfection. I will actively take part in school activities and will bring laurels and glory to it. As a student of Modern early Years, Vasundhara, I pledge to uphold the values and tradition of my school.

            Ms. Mehra wished the students by saying

            ‘With a favouring wind and a flowing tide, with a quiet sea and a star to guide,

            May you sail the isles of greatness beyond the blue,

            May your ship reach home and may your dreams come true’.

            Parents were thrilled seeing their little ones beaming with joy and bubbling with confidence & exuberance. Some of them expressed their gratitude with a brief thank you speech as well!
