Special Assembly : Gandhi Jayanti 

‘You must be the  change, you wish to see in the World’ – Mahatma Gandhi

A Special Assembly was conducted at Modern Early Years, Vasundhara, on Monday 30th September, 2019, by the students of Class K.G in memory of the the 150th birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The Programme commenced with the Branch Head, Ms.Manju Mehra speaking on the significance of the special occasion.

 Her words ‘Whether its slowing down,buying eco friendly products or relearning the art of being content from within,Gandhiji  is still the most influential  trendsetter. From the world of politics to the ecosphere of wellness ,we have been following in the footsteps of the Mahatma ,without realising it-‘ set the mood for the Assembly Ms.Mehra also highlighted the fact that as we celebrated Mahatma Gandhi’s  150th  Birth Anniversary, The Modern School, Barakhamba would be celebrating its 100 years and how on 20th October 1920 Gandhiji had laid the foundation stone of this Great institution together with its Founder Lala Raghubir Singh Ji.

This was followed by an inspiring bhajan... ‘?????? ?????’ followed by a famous quote of Gandhi ji,  spoken by Leenit Nidhi of K.G-A –‘The weak can never forgive ,Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong’

Aadvika Ghai ,Ashvi Rana and Aarna Sankhyadhar of K.G-B spoke about the life and the political movements started by Gandhi ji .

Ms. Mansi Passi with the lively presentation spoke about his teachings,with emphasis on working hard with truth and perseverance to achieve our goals as a nation and as an individual.

 Gandhi ji had a great  contribution in India’s freedom struggle- to showcase that, a dance performance on the song ‘??????? ?? ???’ was presented by the little ones. Gandhi ji said ‘Sanitation is more important than independence’. To put more light on the same Arhaan Jindal of K.G-A recited a poem titled ‘?????? ???? ???? ?????’.

Students depicted Gandhi ji’s childhood along with an action song  ‘???? ???? ? ?????? ????? , ???? ?? ??? ?????’ ,which was enjoyed by everyone present .Kartikeya of K.G-B explained the principles of Gandhi ji and Eleena spoke about Gandhi ji’s statue of three wise monkeys .The Assembly came to an end with a dance performance on ‘?? ??? ?? ???????  ?? ???’, as a tribute to both the Leaders Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Coincidentally Our slogan for 1920-1921 too is also similar ‘We just don’t Speak the Change ,we Make the Change.’

    Dream Big &Never Give Up! 

    An Assembly was conducted by Ms Mansi Passi with her students of Nursery showcasing the Value of the month ‘Hard Work’ on Saturday, 28th September, 2019.The Programme started with the thought of the day by Maahika. This was followed by the reinforcement of the importance of Hard work by Aanahita, Mishika Rishit. Ms. Mansi Passi together with a supportive slide show elaborated on the meaning of the value. A group of students enthusiastically performed an action song titled “We’ll Work Hard Today, We’ll do our best in every way, We’ll give all we’ve got, Yes , we’ll give it our best shot!” Jyotsna and Aadya Agarwal spoke some inspiring sentences on Hard Work. Students enjoyed the motivational video ‘Garden of Hard work’.The Branch Head, Ms. Manju Mehra concluded the Assembly with the inspiring quote ‘The harder you work, the luckier you get’ by Gary Player inspiring all not to quit because as she added  life’s  battles did not  always go the stronger or fastest person, but the one who wins is the one  who thinks he can! The proceedings ended with the motivational song sung by the teachers and the students, ‘We shall overcome’.

      Medical Check-up Camp (Dental, Eye & ENT)

      ‘To keep the body in good health is a duty… otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear’.

      Keeping the above in mind, a Medical Health Check-up (Dental, Eye & ENT) was organised at Modern Early Years, Vasundhara, for all the students from Classes Pre-nursery to P2 on Friday, 27th September, 2019 and Monday, 30th September, 2019, respectively. Dr. Neena Moitra & her Team conducted a Dental Check-up, Dr. Ritu Aurora’s Team from Vision Plus Eye Centre, Noida, conducted the Eye check-up and Dr. Abhishek Maheshwari conducted the ENT check-up. A Medical check-up is essential for the proper growth and development of a child. Such periodic check-ups enable us to diagnose their health problems at an early stage and nip them in the bud. Timely detection gives us the best chance for getting the right treatment quickly. By getting the correct health services and treatment we can be ensured of living a longer and healthier life for as go the sayings ‘Prevention is better than Cure’ and ‘A Healthy Mind Resides in a Healthy Body’.

        Intra-Class Computer Competition: IGNITE

        Computers are incredibly fast, accurate and stupid. Human beings are incredibly slow, inaccurate and brilliant. Together they are powerful beyond imagination.

        Computers have become an integral part of our everyday life. This device is used in almost every area, even where it is least expected. Computers and the internet not only help students to explore creativity and imagination but also help to understand technologies. It is really important that children start learning these valuable skills at  a young age.  With this objective in mind, an Intra-Class Computer Competition was organised at Modern Early Years, Vasundhara for the Classes- Nursery, K.G, P1 and P2.

        The programme started with the customary lighting of the lamp accompanied by the school choir as they sang a beautiful rendition “All things bright and beautiful.” 

        The Branch Head, Mrs. Manju Mehra addressed the parents and the students and introduced them to the judge of the event- Ms Shivani Singh-General Manager, Aptech. Ms.Singh is an MBA in Marketing and International Buisness from JIMS. A professional with almost 12 years of work experience with Corporates like IndiaMart ,Vodafone to name a few. She has to her credit innumerable awards –the notable ones being the Excellence in Service Delivery –Aptech 2017,Zoom India 100 Masterpiece Awards 2018,Leadership Excellence Award 2018.

        Wishing all the Contestants the very best, Ms.Mehra encouraged all as they plunged into the event-

        ‘Let the fireworks explode, It is not about winning or losing it is about the joy of participating and teaching our students that the mere fact they muster courage and come up on this stage to contest they are all winners!’

         

        The 1st Event was of Class Nursery called Show –n- Tell. The students spoke about the parts of the computer.

        They were judged on the following parameters-

        3)          Fluency

        4)          Memory

        5)          Props

        The Second Event was the P2 Debate Competition. Learning to debate and public speaking reaps lifelong benefits , develops excellent oral, written communicative, and critical thinking skills. The topic was “Computer is a Boon or Bane.”

        Students of Class P2 performed an amazing Robot Dance that everyone in the audience thoroughly enjoyed.

        In Class K.G. the Craft Competition took place in their respective classes. Students were to make a useful item using computer waste. The time allotted for the same was 45 minutes. They were judged on the basis of neatness and creativity.

          Teachers’ Day Celebration - 2019

          ‘A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in the pupils----------- by  Ever Garrison

          On the 5th of September, 2019, Students of  Pre-nursery to  P2 at Modern Early Years, Vasundhara celebrated Teachers’ Day to not only highlight the importance of  Teachers in our life but also to underline the importance of a Teacher in every field.

          The Programme began with a welcome dance performance by Class P1 and P2 on ‘???? ??????? ,???? ??????, ???? ???? ????????

          The mesmerizing performance was followed by a poem titled ‘ A Teacher of all Seasons’ by Joanna Fuchs, recited by Anvee Gupta and Nishkarsh Malhotra of P1 A and Anirudh and Tanav of  P2 A.

          To welcome the month of September students of Pre Nursery performed on the song ‘Come September’

          A beautiful and touching  play was performed by the students which showed the importance of the teachers and the selfless love for their students in a very unique way.

          the teachers are themselves.’

           

          She lauded the  qualities of  her spirited Teaching Fraternity and felicitated them with a bouquet as the students sang ‘???? ???? ????? ???? ?? ????’. She also acknowledged the Student-teacher team for their wonderful presentation.

          The Celebration concluded with a powerful song ??????? ?? ???? ?? ?? ??? ??? ??, ????? ?? ???? ?? ?? ?? ?????? ’

          The celebration was followed by fun-filled events conducted class-wise.

          ·        Pre-Nursery and Nursery students took part in the Intra-Class Colouring Competition.

          ·        Students of KG took part in the Intra-Class drawing and Colouring competition.

          ·        Students of P1 took part in an Intra-Class Handwriting Competition.
